AN ALTERNATIVE FOR LOW VISION PATIENTS
UniVision® Low Vision Lens
Patients with low vision caused by diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma now have a new alternative to assist them.
UniVision is a unique lens that attaches to the front of single vision glasses to form a microscope. Using our patented aspheric technology, UniVision provides optical clarity as it magnifies reading materials. The lens is small - about the size of a quarter and weighs less than one gram. It is almost invisible.
The unique UniVision adhesive application system allows the eye care professional to mount the lens with ease, directly on the patient's spectacles, in an office setting. This versatile system provides the practitioner flexibility to apply the UniVision lens in any positioning at a later date, as well as upgrade/downgrade the power or remove the lens entirely - all in the office. Should best visual function switch from one eye to the other, the UniVision lens can be easily interchanged to accommodate the patient's changing needs.
